I'm going to have to get a new box soon, and want it to be the best one possible. What should I be looking at?

Also, what is the best connection to use? RGB scart?

what display are you using? for most people the correct answer is the sony VTX-D800 available for about 70 quid + P&P new or about 60 secondhand when they come up - this assumes you don't want one with a hard drive in, the facility to use top up tv (who in their right mind would) and don't need a component output for a scaler or screen without rgb scart
It's a great box, best connection to use is RGB scart of course, but it can output s-video over scart if you have a long cable run to make ;)

I would agree that the Sony is an excellent choice. I have now installed two in different parts of the country and the picture is superb. User friendly menu and nice to look at, what more could you want.
