What is "Speaker C" on marantz receivers?

    subwoofer, or centre?

    could be for tri amping on rare speakers

    Which Marantz unit are you talking about ??

    My 4300 is marked something like L,R,C,Surround L, Surround R, Surround Back.

    So the c means center on my amp.

    No, it is not the center or subwoofer. I have the marantz sr-8400. I think the sr-8500 also has Speaker c.
