How do I know if my TV has it? Is it still S Video quality or just converted down to composite?

    ok,
Most new tvs will be able to take a number of signals. RGB, Svideo, composite, and if it is a higher speck model componenet. Svideo compatable scart could mean a couple of things.

Your scart lead is compatable with an svideo signal.

The scart socket on the back of your tv/dvd player is svideo compatable.

A resonable quality scart lead will be able to carry an Svideo signal to your tv from you dvd player providing the scart socket can take it, and the dvd player is set to display it.

    Hope this helps.
