A guilty pleasure, it would have to be Ugly Betty.
Primeval and Demons are not guilty pleasures but just show a hint of a masochistic tendencies:)

I still can't believe you've owned up to that one. It's cheap as chips.

At the minute, I'm watching American Idol  and I'm really liking that Total Wipeout (I think that's what it's called) - it's so bad it's good!

    Watch Total Wipeout too.

Its actually rather amusing. Only a few contestants take themselves seriously (guys/girls who would pose a lot down the gym looking at themselves in the mirror all the time).

bad, formulaic sitcoms, I know where the "plot" is going, I know the ending, I know where the laughs will be (if any), but it's 20 mins to turn the brain off. That said, I've uncovered some absolute diamonds in the rough and was the way I discovered the likes of Seinfeld & Larry Sanders back in the day :smashin:

When I was at university (about 19 years ago) I used to watch Neighbours occasionally. I found that if I watched about one episode in ten then working out every single thing that must have happened in the previous nine provided enough of an intellectual challenge to make it mildly interesting.

It's got to be "Come Dine With Me" for me...I will (sadly) quite happily enjoy a Friday night in watching the weeks round up on More4. I feel terrible just admitting that.

I get a huge kick out of reliving the eighties and it is all a guilty pleasure, but one of which I'm not ashamed of. Guilty without remorse. I'm going away for life!

On that subject, when did The Bill change style and have evolving/continuing storylines and plots that develop and take more than one episode to conclude?

Tales Of The Unexpected. I always know that the acting will be terrible. The twist will be stupid. But for the fact that it is so bad... it makes me watch it.

You could always predict the ending which made a nonsense of the title.

3rd Rock from the Sun. I'm not a great lover of American comedy series, but this one is full of invention, excellent cast and does not have the usual 'canned' laughter of many US, and now some UK, shows. Recently being re-shown,but still fresh and funny, on the SciFi channel. That's got to be a joke in itself.
