    Was looking to upgrade my Pioneer 545 with a 565 but due to demoing it with a Panny 32PK1 I just cant stand the vertical banding anymore.
    So looking for a player with RGB throughput ( 2 scarts) and composite for upgrade scenarios. DVDA and SACD would be nice, any players I should be looking at?

    656 is supposed to be good as well as the Sony 930.
    I chose the 565 and sort of regret it as I think now the Sony had more pluses, in my opinion;
    Sony= dual prog scan but only SACD, less relliable with -R

    565= NTSC prog only but dual audio,more relliable with -R

    BUT 565 troublesome with Panasonic NTSC RGB.

    I ended up keeping a Sony 900v also for the above reason and the need to play +RW made on a Philips upstairs
