What hood for a 24-105L?

    Guys
    As some of you know i have a 24-105L and although it comes with a hood i have read that its not very good.
    Im not sure why but does anyone know of a better one?
    And can i have one for Christmas please? :smashin:

    First I've heard of that myself - and I've yet to have a flare problem with it.

    Stick with the stock one.

    Yeah, ive not had any problems with mine. just thought i was missing out on something.
    I have read mentions of it over at dpreview and POTN. just wondered why its not liked by some.

    No problems with my 24-105 or hood either, save your money for the next L lens ;)

    Maybe its just some people like a certain type.
    Thanks and i see no L's on the horizon yet......although now you mention it i do need......No, i dont......or do i?.......

    I've had a bit of flare now and again but mainly when shooting at night and a street lamp is just out of frame - pretty much a normal occurence for any lens. Never had a problem in daylight.
