If you have little children, or a wife that goes to bed at the same time my Grandma used to do....
Is there a second best option of using headphones, probably wireless.
I have a projector etc and love the big sound, so my question is.
What are the best headphones to buy - my budget is about £100.

    Cheers

Sennheiser HD580's. Not the 590's or 570's as they use a different driver which sounds harsh.

The 580's or 600's are brilliant.

    Cheers,
Can these recreate or try to recreate, surround sound.
I have seen various dolby surround headphones but didn't know if they were gimmiks?
Also - is there a way that the subwoofer can still be active but the rest of the speakers be off, so at least I can still feel the bass?
    Chris

P.S your little quote is from Naked Gun, I think? The only film that made me dribble my scrunters in the cinema (although in my defense, I had had a large coke, you know, the one the size of a wheelie bin)

    HI GTVChris!

Have a look on the post about the Pioneer SE-DIR800C Dolby Digital/DTS Surround Sound Headphones - it might help you!

The 580's and 600's are open back design, which apparently works better with Dolby Headphone (and similar technology) than closed back designs.

I personally think Dolby Headphone is a gimmick and can make some things sound like your inside a toilet, but it does reduce listening fatigue.

Oh... and the quote is from Naked Gun 2½.
