I have a HD Ready HCDP TV with a DVI (1.1) input. I have tried a LG HDMI upscaler player using the HDMI-DVI adapter but the picture kept intermitently blacking out.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what upscaler DVD I should buy that works with a DVI input using a HDMI-DIV adapter? Has anyone had a HDMI DVD player working correctly connecting to a TV with a DVI input?

Any help would really be appreciated. Thank you.

The Oppo 971 is a very good quality upscaling DVD player which has a DVI output anyway and comes with a DVI-DVI cable also.

I also would suggest the Oppo 971.

(I just listed one for sale in the classified section :smashin: )

But I would double check it isn't a problem with the display before splashing out on a new player.
E.g. is it an HDCP problem?

The Oppo 981 would work fine as well i expect with a HDMI-DVI adapter, although for simplicity the 971 does have a native DVI connection. If you are wanting sound as well on the same connection (which HDMI can do and DVI can't) then you're out of luck for any player.
