I have recently got into storing music onto my laptop, but there lies the problem of getting in onto my stereo at home.

I have a 300 disc sony changer on my home hi-fi which is now broken and i want to convert all of this onto a harddrive so I can do away with having loads of loose discs and boxes floating about.

I reckon that I have about 400 cd's in total with about 3000 other songs stored onto my laptop and i will obviously be adding to this in time.

Can anyone give me some advice on what would be the best option for storing this on?

I have a budget of up to £300.

I have heard that the freecom mediaplayer 3 250gb will cope with this, but I haven't seen any reviews on it and i don't want to buy something that won't suit what i need.

    thanks

    Keith.
