Has anyone any knowledge if the 1993 Warner Bros version of Wyatt Earp starring Kevin Cosner was ever released on dvd?
I can't find any trace of it!
Seems strange that a major release never made it to the format.
Has the film had some licence/legal issues that have prevented it appearing?
Warners did release a trailer for the movie on the region 1 ' US Marshalls' dvd, which was added on at the end of the documentary, which suggested the title would have a release.

I also enjoyed this film, but I think the critics did pan it!
I seem to remember it was a long film and beautifully shot/photographed. Shame it's not availabe.

He died in Los Angeles at the age of 80  :rotfl:

As I remember it was released the same year as Tombstone. Curious how this kind of thing happens... I remember two Robin Hood films coming out at the same time, Armageddon and Deep Impact were released at the same time, and I believe there are two 'Hannabal' films in production at the moment... There have been lots of other examples of this as well... Must be a rights thing I guess

I saw the May release date on Digital Bits yesterday:D

I have been waiting ages for this movie to come out on DVD. I am hoping they give it the same treatment as the extended special edition Laser Disc box (just without the $120 price tag!!!)

It was panned when released as it was still part of the Costner backlash that seemed to happen with the release of Waterworld, a backlash that has only recently seemed to calm down...

I really enjoyed Wyatt Earp myself, I think I'll be getting this when it's released...

    Regards,
    Iain.

Cosner did certainly make him self an easy target for the critics and if it wasn't for that fact I sure the film would have bee better received. Good to hear that the film is finally making its debut on the formatt!

He certainly did mate, I think now that he is alot more low profile any good work that he does now will get a fairer shake so to speak.
Thirteen Days was given decent reviews if I remember correctly, a film I really enjoyed...

    Regards,
    Iain.

Wyatt Earp was quite a good film, but not a patch on Tombstone. R1 dvd is fantastic!!
