Went in a couple of comets over the weekend.

Both had the new HD45 on demo.
    But NO HD
    Just the standard comet feed

Now obviously they changed the TV, but given that in these stores the HD45 is still being displayed in the same place as was the HD50 (separated slightly from the rest and given a prominent display all of their own) why on earth didn't they leave the PC in place?

It was the HD Demo that drew everyones attention.
Now it is just looks like another poor quality RPTV

[found this out yesterday, due to it not carrying the hd ready tag, they are not allowed to promote it as being able to run hi def
did go to comet in basingstoke today and they were still running hd feed

Well that sounds a little suicidal on Sagem's part :suicide:

They are not allowed to carry the "HD Ready LOGO" if they haven't paid for a licence, but that doesn't stop them claiming it is "HD Ready", or "HD Capable".

Unless I am missing something, the HD45 does have the prereqs for "HD Ready" doesn't it?

    Hi Skaps,

Bought my HD45 last week from Comet in Brighton. The TV was showing the Hi-Def demo. I was looking at the Sagem 50 earlier which didn't have the HD Demo going at all.

Guess Comet are not all that consistent in their stores ...

    Cheers,
    Daz
