I have ridge racers and everybodys golf and just pre-ordered Wipeout Pure and Ape Escape from NUplayer.
The company are doing a 3 game deal but I dont know what third game to buy and I dont know the release dates of the games. Should I wait for others games to come out or take advantage of the 3 game deal?

I really want wipeout and Ape escapeand I love the 2 games I have but I dont know much about the other games. I have heard Need for Speed is not very good and as I would have 2 driving games I dont want another. I like platform games, sport games, shooting games and zelda type games. I dont want FIFA as I hate the game much prefer Pro Evo.

I am thinking of getting Tony Hawk though never played any games from the series, spiderman 2, NBA, Untold Legends, Death Jr or Metal Gear Acid. I love the Metal Gear solid games but as this is a card game dont know if it will appeal to me.

My other questioun is I have a D-Link wireless router2.4GHZ Wireless broadband router. What network card would I need to connect it to the PSP? Obviously I will want my PC to connect and Xbox live as well.
I am currently using ethernet cables but I need a network card because I want to go on line with the PSP and download things such as extra cars and courses for wipeout.

You dont need a network adaptor! Just put in the details of your router on your PSP and then you will connect! Also make sure wireless is enabled, you can usually access your router settings by going to 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1

I thought I needed a network card to get the wireless router to work to my PSP. Be great if I dont need one as I could spend the money on a game instead but dont know what games to get.

If your router is already wireless, like you say it is. Then you dont need an adaptor, your PSP has built in wireless technology. Just got to network settings in the home screen (its the last settings option) and create a new connection according to your current oneon your PC.

yeah this is the same system i use, the psp picks up the wireless router fine

the only thing you need to change is for online multiplayer play through something like xlinkkai (this doesnt work with routers)

if you want to play ridge racers with people around the world as if they were in the same room you need to do something like, plug your pc into your router via ethernet (so the lan card handles the network connection) then get the pc to also run its wireless card in ad-hoc mode and let the psp find that, so

PSP ->>>> wireless adapter - > (PC) <- ethernet to router -> internet

and voila free wireless gaming against the world

sorry i cant explain it all more simply

My PC is hardwired to the wireless router. I dont have a wireless card in the PC unfortunately but do in my laptop. Could I use this for the wireless gamming ?

If not I have a wireless access point I could connect to the PC but would need to fit another network card which would be hastle.

I can't get my PSP to connect to my wireless card, through adhoc.

I have connected my laptop to my router by wire and then set the laptop's network adaptor to adhoc. I try searching for the PSP while the PSP is looking for others to play with on RR. But neither my PSP or my laptop can pick up anything!

I am definatly going to go for Ape Escape and Wipeout Pure dont know if I will buy any other games. I like sport games (apart from american football and rugby), I like driving games but 2 driving games is enough for now.
I like shooting games, platform games and zelda type games rpg. I am also thinking of getting a bigger memory stick would 512 be enough? I want to watch films and listen to music especially as I am going on holiday in a few months but obviously it will be mostly for gamning.

whoa this thread is hard to follow

you should be able to hardwire a laptop to a router and then use its wireless card to play multiplayer over kai

Please have a look at my site and the links to the kai forums for more on this though as I dont know anything about it.

I have been informed of a program in development that will allow wireless play using routers... I will let everyone know when I do

depends on the resolution but you should get a full length movie on a 512mb card

dont know how much space you will have over though. i personally am going to wait a bit and then get a 1gb, but im not that much of a movie fan anyway... but i did see constantine tonight and really enjoyed it

on my to buy list is dynasty warrios, fifa, wipeout and gta but im not an expert just get what sounds good

FIFA I hate that game think I will wait for Pro Evo, basketball game looks good as does Untold Legends Brotherhood of the Blade. I recomend you get Ape Escape by the way as it looks very good and got good reviews.
I have seen vido clips of the game and I love it def getting that along with wipeout pure.
I think I will get GTA when it is released in April as well.

I've ordered Lumines, Tony Hawks 2, Ridge Racer and Wipeout. Expecting them to turn up with the machine wed/thurs so I will give you my first impressions then. Those four and Twisted Metal keep getting the best online reviews.

I notice Harvest Moon is in that long list. Great Game on the GC and I reckon that it will be a quality handheld title - very addictive.

I am thinking of buying Twisted Metal, for people who dont know what it is here is a review and screenshots of the game http://www.pspcrazy.com/twistedmetalheadsonreview.htm.

What appeals to me is the ability to play head to had or 6 player games against other people around the world. Does anyone here have the game?

I have the Japanese "Lumines" and "Ridge Racers" and the US "Wipeout Pure" and "Need for Speed Underground Rivals". IMO they are all excellent. NFS is the weakest of the games but is still a lot of fun if you enjoy this kind of thing.

On Order are FIFA, Tiger Woods and Mercury (looks like the original tilt sensor idea is not being used though - shame)

I notice box office and video games plus are cheap on games. How long for the games to arrive, will I be charged customs and if I order more than one game will they ship them out individually so I dont pay customs?

I use video games plus and they normally taken between 4-12 days to arrive depending on how efficient the postal service is feeling.

As far as customs goes I have never had to pay anything on a package from VGP. Without saying too much on a public forum, you should not have any problems with games.
