What gain ???

Hi i am looking to get a de-lite electric screen, but what gain should i ask for for the screen material. It will only be used for home cinema.

I think it depends on how bright an image you want. Also where you are sitting because a lot of the high gain screens are only brighter looking straight on. Also it depends on wether there are other sources of light in the room. My wife insists on doing her cross-stitch under a lamp whilst watching films so I have a 1:1 gain as any higher will really pick up the light, even though I've shoved her in the corner.
