    Hi

Just building a HC - in a dedicated room. Will be almost complete darkness - and plannign to use either a Screenplay 5700 or 7205. Projector will be approx 15' from screen - and I plan a 8' diagonal.

Just looking at the Beamax range - but some have a gain of 1.0 - while others are 1.5

Could someone please guide me as to what might be best?

    Thanks in advance

    Simon

I'd have thought that unless you need a bright picture for sports viewing then 1.5 gain would be too much. Those Infocus projectors are known for being bright. For a 96" screen in a dedicated room a gain of 1.0 should be plenty, even with the bulb in economy mode.

Thanks Kurtz - not being a sports fan - and the room will have the ability to be very dark - I'll look at the 1.0 gain screens.

    Kind regards

    Simon
