I have just recently bought a Denon 2805 amp, and will be buying a Denon 1910/2910 DVD player to match. I am looking at buying a new set of front speakers to replace some Mission floor standers. I am looking at spending around £300 - £400, and was looking at a pair of Acoustic Energy AEGIS EVO THREE's (£309.96). Any suggestions on what I should look at?? :lease:

I'm selling my What Hi Fi 5 star winning Mordaunt Short MS914 Cherry floorstanders for £125 at the moment, I bought these for £300, and they are currently £249 at Richer Sounds.

They are great speakers and would sit really well with the Denon. Plus, you would be saving a fortune :) I'm also selling my matching centre for £40 :)

those ms914s above are a steal for £125!!! I was going to suggest the MS906s as I feel they have a slightly better midrange but the 914s have a much punchier bass.

I need some speakers but not floorstanders otherwise i'd take those 914s!!!!

Kef Q4 are my favourite at the price, monitor audio S5 if you can stump up £450 and The Acoustic energys are a fantastic buy @ £250 (Which you can find in lots of different shops)

    AE is good speakers.

But, B&W and Kef from this range are High End, and AE is a step below.

But of course it is personal choice.

    Like Mercedes and VW.
