Really getting to grips now with my D40 question now is filters what do I need and for what I have the kit lens 18-55mm and the 70-300mm VR. I know the sizes but what should I buy for each situation. (ie uv for sunny holiday shooting) need some advice fellas:rolleyes:

Circular polariser would be my #1 choice, especially for bright skys and reflective water.:smashin:

Neutral density for increasing shutter speeds could be fun.

cheers

I Would agree with the polariser. Also a UV one just to protect the lens for normal shooting. ;)

Try them 1st before going to the ND filters, as you may find thats all you need, depending upon what you shoot most.
