Use quite a few, fair enough these are remnants of my 35mm days but they still come in useful ;)

Polariser, couple of ND grads 6/9, a cheap grey grad all either Hoya or Hama, also Cokin A filter system, pic of my A75 with it fitted to the LA-DC52C lens adapter
And I've just ordered today from Jessops a Hoya R72 Infrared, always loved IR so going to give it a go, £26.99 though :suicide:

Polarisers and UV/Skylight for protection are the only ones I really bother with. Keep meaning to try a few others out but so far haven't got round to it.

i have set of Tiffen filters and a couple of cokin ones, all work ok, have a skylint on the front of the lenses too, £20 to stop me knackering a £150 lens, seemed sensible to me!

People generally regard a UV filter as a protection filter.
It blocks invisible UV rays which can cause a loss of sharpness, contrast and colour are also heightened but since its filter glass is colourless there's no increase in exposure and people leave them on all the time to also protect the lens.
However, the more pieces of glass stacked in front of the lens then the increased risk of flaring, overall the risk is worth it.
