Colour Out of Space

Didn't know what to expect with this, actually was quite good, it reminded me of a movie from the 80s, but I won't say which because that would ruin it.

8/10

Sonic the Hedgehog

Pretty enjoyable afternoon watch, more for the kids but I enjoyed it for what it was, I thought Carrey was a good choice as the villain and played it very well.

7/10

Solaris (2002, UK iTunes)

Eighteen years ago, coming to this gorgeous looking, latest sci-fier from A-listers Jim Cameron and George Clooney and even seeing Clooney reunite with his Out of Sight director Soderbergh, my expectations were all askew. Having briefly heard of the original film, this meditation on memory, grief, loss and so many other aspects of the human condition simply didn't have enough space porn or explosions to meet them so naturally this was consigned to the 'never watch again' pile.
Same with me, when I watched it back then I just found it dull dull dull.
Need to rewatch it with my (mostly) more mature taste in movies.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker - 6/10 - I hated The Last Jedi so much it put me off the entire franchise, whilst this isn't great - starts well but gets a little dull, it is an improvement on TLJ.

I'd give The Rise Of Skywalker - 8/10 after the awful installment from Rian Johnson (The Last Jedi). It just wasn't STAR WARS and he didn't get that. And he wrote it as well? Awful choice. Truly awful.

Wife and I started watching The Lighthouse last night.
I was enjoying it, but one hour and three minutes in she declared she couldn't and wouldn't watch any more :rotfl:
Score so far 7/10 (from me)

Yeah I plan on getting the wife to watch it on my 2nd viewing but not expecting her to get past the 1st 30 mins :)

Feels Good Man (2020) Directed by Arthur Jones
Documentary
Seen the meme's thousands of times but never knew there was such a fascinating and totally bizarre story behind it, from the way it began life as a harmless cartoon character to the way it suddenly became a banned hate symbol used by racist,anti-semites and the like and especially for its use in the last US election, its creator really does seem to be fighting a losing battle trying to put things right, crazy stuff.7/10
What platform is this on ?

Watched Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey and my gawd I’d forgotten how bonkers it was, I mean, totally far out man.
Oh and with added terrifying depictions of the devil and the Easter bunny.
Just wow.
Anyhow, thought it lacked the charm and the good nature of the original, otherwise entertaining.
Looking forward to the third outing later this evening.

Alone (2020) Directed by John Hyams

If the trailer hits your buttons you will know exactly what to expect and yep you have guessed it you really can't get more generic than what this constantly throws at you, it's is though pretty entertaining in that it's so dumb roll your eyes way, it looks ok with its typical drone shots and woodland territory and the girl was ok but Mr psycho guy wasn't an exactly chilling performance he also delivers one of the dullest psychopathic look at me I'm mad as hatter speeches I've come across, probably best wait 'til its free on some channel.6/10
