What features in a projector does HCPC make redundant?

    If I were to use a HCPC running some processing software, what features in the projector would be made redundant?

    its scaler mainly

    to a certain extent any colour correction / gamma / sharpness / etc.. are features that need not be used on the projector, but the pc - so shouldnt be factored in when buying a Proj for HTPC use only.

    thats about it really. Oh, and you only need a VGA/DVI input, so having composite /component / scart etc.. etc.. is irrelevent

    Also you cant change the aspect ratio using the remote if 1:1pixel mapping is used (well u cant on the 700) all aspect ratio changes must be done through software.
