Im looking at ordering some additional controllers for the 360 as I only play it with mates.
Wireless looks good, but costs more and you need to either get a plug and play charger or use batteries?? Is that correct?
Wired is cheaper, but takes up room.

So what options are you boys going for as additional controllers??

Wireless without a doubt. Yes it is more expensive, and you either need 2 AA batteries or the battery kit. I may just say to my mates buy your own pads and you can play on my 360 :D

Wireless all the way fella! Its even more important to be wireless when you've got more than 1 controller going on, no more tripping when drunk; happens every time at my place... Thanks god for the cable breaks or I'd be on my 6th Xbox by now!

Just get 1 play and charge kit, and then just stick some disposables in the other pad(s) that you've got lying around when your mates turn up.

The best thing about wireless is that your buddies can bring their pads 'round and you're sorted.

That's presuming they too will be getting a 360.

I am going to get one more wireless at launch so that my two kids can play on games together without arguing over one controller ;)

The wireless thing is a blessing when it comes to kids as I have forgotten the amount of times that they have jumped up and almost dragged the console out of the unit with the controller wires

I was thinking of going the wired route, but not ONE person has voted for it...
Maybe its because nobody else is planning on buying 3 extra controllers

I'll get a wired one for the PC. Pro Evo 5 on my HDTV.. much better than the low res Xbox version :D

Can't wait for a Pro Evo 360 version.

I feel sorry for Pooony not having any mates down there in darkest Canterbury... :( Except for his Pro Evo renatafriend... Prob only invites him cos he knows hes the only one he can beat ;)

Has to be wireless. I've had a PS2 pulled off a shelf (strangely it survived with just a broken Component cable) due to someone tripping over a wire. Wires just get in the way and they are always getting tangled up so you have to unwind them. Infact I hate all wires and prey for the day that nothing has wires, although I feel that we are stuck with plugging things into the wall for some time to come yet :( .

Lorenzini, I know that I dont have to do the same, but its nice to get other peoples views. I wasnt sure if wireless would have too many drawbacks for other people.
It just costs a ton once you add the console, 3 controllers and some games :(
So the controller I get with my £279 MUST use batteries or the play and charge kit ?
Can you wire it if you want with anything that comes in the box?

AFAIK, you don't get a wire in the £280 pack, you'd have to buy the play and charge kit or use your own batteries. I know what you mean about it adding up when you want to buy lots of pads, I've been there! You could alternatively buy a charger with rechargeables from Maplins or similar which would work out much cheaper that the official MS rechargeable battery packs...

I must just be a real cheapskate.
The thought of paying at best £28 x 3 for wireless... plus either batteries... a battery charger and rechargeables.... or play and charges... seems very excessive.
    3 x £17.99 at play for wired.
Bottom line, I think Im going to be making my mates pay for their own controllers and they can pick what route they wanna go down :smashin:
