The time is fast approaching for me to start hacking out plasterboard in anticpation of the decorator arriving. I have my Thor Scart and 2 sets of components in use so they are a forgone , but should I also bury a DVI-D cable , and if so what flavour ;) hdmi - dvi-d or dvi-d - dvi-d , obviously ny current dvd player does not support this , but am looking to do this as some minor form of future proofing. any advise welcome

If you put trunking in the wall for the cables to run through and put a pull string in there as well, you won't have to worry about additional cables at a later date as they'll be easy get in.

Had considered doing that , but with the trunking having a 1m drop followed by a rightangle turn and a 2m run to the stand , I envisioned a nightmare trying to pull the terminations round the corner  .Ultimatley , I guess this is what I'll end up doing , I thought if I could bury them now , it would save a lot of trouble later :clown:

    cheers john
