I've had a Phillips 32PW9617 Pixel Plus DD5.1 TV for just over a year now and I'm thinking about buying a DVD player.

I've found the picture from the TV to be excellent so DVD should be superb, providing I buy the right quality player to compliment the TV!!!

Anyone care to give any recommendations on what player to buy? Feel free to explain as much as you like as I don't really know much about DVD. Do they all have RGB output? Do you have to spend a fortune for DD5.1 sound?

    Thanks for the advice.

    Simon.

Are you happy to play dvds through the televisions own speakers or did you have a home cinema system in mind?

The multiregion Panasonic S35 at Amazon for £78 would give you great results.

For a home theatre system perhaps something like the JVC THA-75R.
