Firstly I am wondering if I need a dvd player or not. I have a dvd-rom drive in my pc and I can link the pc to tv by using s-video out off my geforce 4 ti 4600 card. But its a hassle!

Now I want a component output dvd player that supports progressive for my 51" Toshiba WH36 TV.

I am a n00b with this dvd technology so someone point me in the right direction. Whats the best value for money player out there?

Looking at a non-recordable one maybe unless its a internal hdd one that can be modified with a 120gb or greater drive, so I can input my camera system and record CCTV on the drive!

    Divx support is not important

    Please help, thanks in advance
