I am just wondering whats a popular detective to buy on DVD to watch. I all ready have columbo and murder she wrote, and now looking to buy some more.

A touch of frost any good or the french guy with the moustache ?

I have no idea !

Inspector Morse for me, Prime Suspect series is good as well, maybe the original UK Cracker series, or the UK Rebus series.

Never got into Bergerac, though know lots of people who love it.

You seem to like the US detective stuff, so maybe Rockford Files?

Cracker definitely :smashin:

And I can't help not watching Midsummer murders, or whatever it's called.

got to be Life on Mars , absolutely brilliant

just thinking though, you may have to be 40 ish to fully appreciate it ?

Well that's me sorted then :rotfl:

I only got to watch odd mins of it, because of working away, which I regret.

Even then, seeing how us old fogeys used to live has to be a good thing :)
A tanner a week pocket money etc

And weren't the clothes and music just soooooooo much better. No knives, just a good ol.......................... :D

yep, those were the days :smashin:

Veronica Mars - hands down the best PI show I've ever seen.

Would also recommend Criminal Minds (FBI profilers) and The Closer (hugely enjoyable cop show about a female interrogator)

Trial and retribution another from Lynda La Plant and the first 2 boxsets 1-4 & 5-8 are dirt cheap too

Hi,

How can you not include either "Prime Suspect" and/or "Monk", in the list of great cop/detective shows?!
