What does 'XDE' stand for?

    With a 436 on order, I just wondered...

    I get what 436 means, but what does 'XDE' stand for?

    There's also FDE, HDE, MXE.... I know the functional differences, but what do all those acronymns mean?!

    Vaguely perplexed...

    the XDE has a freeview tuner, the FDE doesn't. there are probably some other differences too.

    I'm pretty sure the 'E' stands for 'European' as in the US and in other countries, they just have HD at the end.

    Sorry, just re-read the post :suicide:

    well to me it makes perfect sense, the one with the Freeview tuner has an X in its name, the one without it has an F :confused: :confused:

    I'd have thought the other way round would be better, but hey...

    Sorry, I've got nothing constructive to add to this, I'd go with drd's explanation
