What does it mean to have a camera hacked??

what is meant by a "Hacked Camera" :lease:


Novice Member
you can flash a camera with unofficial firmware to give you features not available in the official firmware. Usually these days this is to do with video, with manufacturers sometimes artificially restricting performance for license or marketing reasons passing understanding.

There's firmware for my Canon 50D that allows you to shoot video, a feature never available previously, though obviously no sound and lack of dedicated controls.

If you remember I have just recently got the G2, and I understand you have it too.
I read on another forum that there is a Hack for this cam.
Do you know how it affects it?
