    Hey Guy's......
I've luckily stumbled across this site which seems to be a good source of knowledge for purchasing a plasma\LCD.

I've just moved into a small 1 bedroom flat and have decided a plasma\LCD screen is the way to go to save space. I have the following models in mind:

    Panasonic TH37PA20BSYS (Plasma) £2300
    OR
    Philips 30PF9975 (LCD) £1800

There is a difference in size between the 2 and I would like the bigger screen size if possible. I've been able to find reviews on the Philips screen which all seem positive (won a "What HIFI&TV" award) however cant seem to find much info on the Panasonic.........

Can any one other advice on the above

    Cheers
    Jaffa

I think you can get the Panny 42" plasma for under 2300 at Digital Direct.

Em.....I was thinking of 42 inch but it might be a bit to big for my small living room. Another thing I meant to ask was can plasmas be mounted on plasta board walls? Might be a silly question but one I'm unsure of!

I've put some monster plasmas into small flats in London, you need to be say, 2.5m away from a 852x480 plasma like the panasonic 42, a bit closer for a 37, and maybe the same as the 37" for a high res plasma. Though this will give some folks a great deal of amusement and satisfaction, for reasons you will come to understand if you continue to haunt this corner of the internet, maybe you should also look at Hitachi screens?

    Thanks for you replys guys........
I've been doing alot of searching through the forum and found mixed reviews on both plasmas and LCDs. Out of the 2 models I've mentioned what would you recommend to go for?? I've viewed them both at Comets and they look impressive, both in the flesh and picture wise......

I just cant make up my mind
