As in the title please vote.
None of them...
My fav of the moment has to be Law & Order (also Special Victims Unit) on Hallmark. Very good stories.
I am a big X-Files fan, but I can't say I'm looking forward to the new series on Sky as I hated the last series.
Toughy - Friends has actually been quite decent this series. I've even laughed once or twice.
Angel is a bit hit & miss at the moment.
Buffy is getting better & better.
Haven't yet watched 24 - I've got all of them recorded so far, though, so I do intend to.
Haven't watched X-Files since about half way through Season 4 when I lost interest. Which is a shame, 'cause I used to love it.
But, I've voted for Enterprise because it is just so much better than Voyager was.
I voted for Enterprise as I am really enjoying it - I didn't really have high expectations for it, but have been pleasently surprised. I think it has answered many of the criticisms aimed at Star Trek in recent years.
Definitely buying the series box set on DVD when it comes out (soon I hope!)
24 - It's the most gripping and intelligent series I've seen in a long time. I love the way it's filmed in near real-time with multiple scene views etc. All my own opinion of course......
What's 24 about? Never seen/heard it. No particular fav at the moment, so no vote ...
One of the few TV programmes where I actually look forward to the next episode
I voted for 24, but have to say it's a grueling watch. There's no humour or even any happiness involved. I think they ought to show some funny cartoons after it just to cheer everyone up.
Well, of the list it had to be X-Files.
I would have voted for South Park or The Simpsons had they been there though.
Frankly I'd rather wallow in nostalgia and re-visit old faves on DVD!
None of them. The only program that I regularly watch on TV now is ER which has been consistently good since the first episode.
I like and occasionaly watch Enterprise which has more characters and less technobabble than Voyager which I thought was rubbish.
Ally McBeal was brilliant and inventive when it started but went downhill after the second series and I haven't watched it since.
The only other prog that I think has stood the test of time is Stargate.
I've forgotten the others on the list and the poll disappears when typing a reply.
what about Dream Team on SKY1....the best by far!!
Angel's the best there.
BUT where is 'Dark Angel' and most importantly, where is 'Farscape'?
'Farscape' isn't current, but neither is 'The X-Files', and 'Farscape' is far better than any of those listed there.
Wel, each to there own of course, I don't rate Buffy, Angel, Stargate, Farscape, blah blah blah sausage machine telefantasy at all.
Still nowt to beat Randall & Hopkirk old or new (IMHO)
or The Prisoner
or Monty Python
or The Avengers
or Dr Who
or Star Trek
or Star Trek Next Gen
or Sherlock Holmes (Brett)
Agreed farscape is one of the best series' but it was a typical pointon/shoka thread, start it when you are drunk and forget about it by the morning however it is having a good response so cant be all that silly. I think 24 has got to be the best from the list, but i agree farscape is damm good.
None of them, it's Stargate SG-1 for me, beat the rest by miles.
Farscape cannot be included in the 'sci-fi knock off' category. It far outclasses anything else in the TV (even movie) sci-fi/fantasy genre at the moment.
As an Asgard Commander you would say that.
Stargate is due to return in Autum for final series 6 and a new film to follow. And a possible spinoff show dubbed Stargate Atlantis may see the light.
My vote from that lot goes to Angel. Darla RIP.
I beg to differ!
Farscape is different because it is not American
ie American programmes wouldn't get main characters sleeping together until about 5 or 6 series.
Main characters are rarely killed off in US either!
Ok when does series 4 start on BBC?
I beg to disagree with Confucius. The first series of Farscape saw characters with far more depth to them than is the norm nowadays which was a refreshing change to the cardboard Star Trek characters.
I think that the story lines got a bit bogged down in the recent series with two Crichtons as it seemed a little contrived to me but hopefully the next series will take it back to the levels of the first two series.
Just answering like with like. A bald comment like "I beg to differ" doesn't do much to promote interesting debate.
It reminds me of a Monty Python sketch.
I beg to differ!
Did you also kill Spartacus!!
I beg to agree with your agreement
I beg for free DVDs... Anyone?
