    Hi

I've got an extensive DVD collection and I'm frustrated by the fact that if it were'nt for half a dozen or so titles I'd have every film I ever wanted.
I think some of these are on R1 but I've never been able to get over the fact that you lose a hundred lines of the picture, so I only get R2.
My list of illusive titles goes a little like this..

    The Silent Partner
Brilliant crime thriller starring Elliot Gould and Christoper Plummer( about the most frightening baddy ever). Great plot, very funny, very dark and you don't get a better combination than that.

    Innocent Blood
One of the most immaginative modern day vampire movies, directed by John Landis and with superb performances from Anne Parillaud and Rober Loggia.
    Its on FX, now.

    and of course

    The man with two brains
Simply the best comedy ever made.

I'm sure there is at least one more and I'll come back when I think of it.
Please let me know if you have any news on the release of any of these titles and I'd be interested to know whether there are any titles that you're waiting for.

    Mark

I'm pretty much there at the moment although I still have a hankering for:
    Hellboy: Directors Cut
Still a bit pricey for my liking.

Batman: The Series (with Adam West/Burt Ward etc)
Unfortunately various licensing issues mean that the old episodes will probably never be released. :(

Yeah I should pick it up, but I keep catching this on tv so I keep putting off the dvd purchase as I have no intention on watching it soon. Will pick it up when it goes down to around a fiver.

I saw this thread, and thought I would add 'The Keep' to the list too - glad to see someone had already done it though, as if people keep asking maybe eventually it will arrive.

R1 version was due in November last year, but then Paramount dropped it off the list. Agreed about putting out a decent version though - the TDsoundtrack would be amazing in 5.1

Defo Blade Runner SE: Come on :lease:
Also a SE of each Friday the 13th, there are big fans out there!!!!
Most of Clint Eastwoods westerns need SE: Pale Rider; Hang em High; Joe Kidd; High Plains Drifter.
    Ghostbusters SE
Better SE's of all Jurrasic Park Movies.
    Madman SE:
    Bodycount SE:
    A more understanding wife
    More time to watch movies
and to finish, yes we need more AV specialists to design some good storage space for DVD's i'am thinking glass to match the contempory design of most good AV gear.
i have a lovely old oak bookcase which has not one book in it, totally filled with DVD's. bloody boxsets take up to much space, Laurel & Hardy collection biggest culprit :thumbsdow

Not as strong as the regular ones.

I wouldn't like my collection in them.

Sit or stand on em and I don't think they offer much in the way of protection.

Plus the spine doesn't have much width to display the title properly.
