Hello,
I am thinking of upgrading from out 1996 Sony 28" CRT to a Samsung LE37A656 this year
(Tempted to do it now but must wait until nearer Christmas or even better the New Year Sales when I expect there will be some real bargains on offer .... "mind must control the heart"
...keep repeating it and everything will be okay...).
Anyway, the reviews for this TV have a common thread and that is to do with the speaker performance (or lack of it).
My questions are:
Can I just buy a couple of external speakers?
If that is a bad idea, can I use the Dell WL600 Surround Sound system from my computer? Or for that matter any 2.1 computer surround sound system bought cheaply off Ebay.
I don't want an integrated radio (have SONOS which is brilliant) or DVD player (Have a PS2 for that). For your information we have a V+ box and use the TV for playing games.
I just want improved sound from the TV. The budget is tight and I am not that precious about the sound being perfect; but a bigger sound would be good; if the Samsung does prove to have poor speakers.
