    Hi

I have a panasonic 42PE30. How do i go about getting top of tv on my TV as the cards you get will not fit in the PC car slot?

I am assuming i needs some sort of adaptor if so where can i get these from.

Also is there any way of tricking the system so you dont have to pay?

I know that would be wrong but it is worth asking.

    Thanks in advance

What do you need for top up TV ? ....... a desire for poor quality TV programmes that are mainly re runs? :D

seriously though you need a Cam Conditional access module which go's in to your set then the card slots into this module. I think you will find them on the Top up tv web site
    http://www.topuptv.com/

No there is not a way to trick it to get free top up tv .Xtraview (ch 36)allows you to get a selection for a pound a day for this you have to enter a release code this changes too often to get it free.If you have a computer digital card or old nokia box you can put in PID numbers but i wont say anymore or i'll get banned. That would make a few here very happy if i was.

I'm sorry if i am being thick but here goes.

Is this the type of card i need click

It seems to be quite cheap compared to the rest.

I take that then all i have to do is buy on of the tv top up cards and then i can get access to the encrypted channels like E4?

well you could but it is ebay and its £30.00 and the top up tv starter package is another £27.99 for a card

here are two suppliers for packages of approved Top up tv Cams and cards which top up tv say are compatible with your tv.If you are having viewing problems they are more likely to help you.

Dixons and currys say on the web site they do it for£39.99 but they never seem to have stock

that card is for sat broadcasts, not top up TV which uses a version of media guard, oh and talk of pritating subscription TV services is against forum rules, as far as i know you have to buy the kit and the card from them and they are a real pain to cancel skys cheapest package is better VFM

damn £60 is a lot of cash to get 10 extra channels plus £8 a months on top of that.

Does anyone know of some really cheap CAM cards that will work for the top up TV. £60 is just too much

what about this would this work.

    £30 is a lot better that £60.

Also sorry if that other ebay link is against forum rules please remove if it is

Also just so i am not being extr stupid. Do these cam card plug into the PC Card slot in the front of the TV or do i have to plug it in the back. I ask cos my tv is mounted on the wall so the back is near impossiable to get to

You need the cam (and no its still not the right sort) AND a starter pack which comes to the same sort of price in fact if you can find one in stock at currys or comet or dixons at the £39.99 thats pretty inexpensive and a lot cheaper than a dodgy un approved e bay cam and starter pack.
As HD says the basic package from sky is better value for money.
I personally dont feel top up tv is worth £8 a month without sky one but that is just my opinion
