    Hi There!
Newbie here....who knows practically nothing about camcorders I'm afraid. My partner is going to the Antarctic next January and would like to buy a mini digital camcorder to record the events.
Obviously it will be very white....sunny and cold! So it needs to be fairly small as it will have to be snuggled inside an anorak most of the time. could anyone give me suggestions on the best model for the job? I think a good zoom facility is important and of course a 'snow' button would be handy! Thoughts have been a Panasonic G3 ( I think?!) Price range around £500 to £700 max.
Don't need to many buttons and fiddly bits.....ease of use is important - most of all quality of picture. Thanks everso. Judy
