If you could, what improvements or extras would you ask Microsoft to produce for the 360 to make it better.

    For me it's

    1. Make the Hard Drive a Requirement, so that developers can makes games and utilise the HDD at the same time.

    2. Better Backward Compatability. Produce emulators that don't cause problem with old games when playing online or when using a vertain type of cable (VGA)

    3. A patch which allows you to delete a game COMPLETELY from your HDD and Gamertag so that there is no recolition of ever having (OXM discs and unwanted games)

    1. The ability to store whole games on the HDD (and larger HDDs of course). Piracy could still be kept away by using unique keys on each disk thats linked to your Live profile. You could also transfer the key to someone else should you sell the game.

    2. A cheap HD-DVD drive

    3. Add native support in MCE-Extender for all as many file types as possible.

I don't understand this one IMO.

The xbox 360 is all about HD and supporting .xvid etc won't exactly make your large HDTV look glorious eh?

It supports .ts files which is the only content to be streaming in terms of quality, and it also reads dvd+dl which is the only other thing worth doing in terms of visual quality.

I wouldn't want to taint my lovely setup with a crappy .divx file full of wonderful artifacts :D

Definately agree with point 1. Why they didn't make the HDD standard is beyond me. Please let developers use it to increase load times and slow that 12 speed drive down (noisy little #*£$%!!!:nono: )

I totally agree but if they want the 360 to be a media centre, it needs to play just about everything, else its half-assed (as it is now).

1 machine to play HD, another for anything compressed is plain crap IMO. All it will do is force people to work around the 360s MCE features, which for MS is counter-productive.

When downloading from Xbox Live, you should be able to play a game or do something else... i hate waiting for the downloads (plus they are getting slower and slower) :hiya:

Sorry forgot to add HDMI cable aswell

    my 2 cents...

    1. Better support via VGA mainly. That includes support for 50hz games (some kind of workround, or adapter if posible), and more resolutions supported for the likes of the dash and such like, for the bigger monitors with higher resolutions. Also a fix for the washed out colours.

    2. Better customer support from Microsoft. The helpline isnt helpfull, and when you email, they tell you to call the helpline. It would be nice if they brought out regular updates on their own website on what they are working on so we can see if they recognise the issues that coming up on the forums, and are trying to solve them (and if this already exists, please let me know!)

Gameplay is great though, looks and plays top notch.

This is what *I* would like:

    1. Built in HD-DVD and Blueray combo drive
    2. Divx Support (the media centre would then be useful for video!)
    3. Substantially quieter console.. fans and DVD are way too loud for my taste
    4. Bigger HDD
    5. Digital output (HDMI)
    6. 100% Backwards compatibility
    7. Multi-voice chat facility in the dashboard
    8. Multi-tasking when downloading off marketplace
    9. Mouse/Keyboard support with some form of web browser (this would be quite helpful in my parents household with 1 computer!)
    10. Built in Wi-Fi
    11. Four USB ports at the front instead of 2 (for 4 wired controllers).
    12. A 360 version of PES (waiting till PES 6 sucks...) - no HD, no widescreen

The above are the main things that I'd like to see for the 360. I can love without HD DVD for now. :)

    Three things mainly:

*Multi-tasking whilsts downloading [surely must be possible with the processing power the thing has... ]
    *The awful auto-run feature...
    *Better VGA compatability

There are a few others but they're the three I'd like the most.

There's nothing to stop devs using it. It has a much larger caching partition than xbox 1 had, so the facility is there. There's also games coming that won't work without it. It's up to the devs which way they want to go.

Sounds like you're getting jittery about the ps3 launch for some reason.

    Anyway:

I would like to play a game whilst downloading from live.

    Less idiots on live.

    built-in HD DVD.

    HDMI socket.

The ability to change the complete cover of the machine to match the faceplate accessories.

I'm not too fussed about a bigger Hard drive, as I have loads of songs, game saves, and arcade games on it and still have 11GB left.

also not fussed about Backward compatibility as I think that when the games for the 360 come through as time goes on, we'll be less likely to want to play old games anyway. (i bet not many play PS 1 games on PS2 anymore).

I agree totally :smashin: ... For me, get rid of the shoddy Quake 4 and do a Quake 3 Arena with full Mouse/Keyboard support :D

But then the XBOX 360 is a great console anyway..

Gotta go with the 'full backwards compatibility' thing

I've been 'forced' to leave my old Xbox wired up, cos all the games my kids want to play (hey - I have to earn brownie points somehow! ;) ) aren't supported

Which now means my cabinet is stuffed to overflowing :(

On the plus side, it means that I have to worry less about sticky fingers on my 360 discs ;)

What I find wonderful about the unit is the easy switch on using a pad or remote - can get gaming or media-playing from the sofa in a few seconds. Got so used to it that I prefer a quick game of whatever's on the HD or the drive rather than getting up and changing games (call me Homer). So I'd like the ability to put all the PAID FOR DVD games on the HD, or just simply download full games to the HD (admittedly, would need much bigger HD). Could then fire up and start playing any game straight away. Must be a way of doing this that won't attract piracy.

I too was going to say some decent games, but was afraid of being flamed! I'd really like one AAA killer title. Hope it's here soon.
