I have a 32’’ TV and a bush DVD player with surround speakers. Is there any way I can connect the DVD player so I can watch normal TV by using the speakers connected to the DVD player. I also have a video and I think I have the bush DVD 2004 player that does not have the chip in it to scramble. So how can I also connect it to record a DVD. I am using scart leads at the moment. My video, DVD have one scart connections and the TV has two.

I don't think that's possible as the DVD player doesn't have any switching capabilities to route external audio through its directly connected speakers. Your best bet would be to purchase an AV amp/receiver and use the speaker package (until funds allow to upgrade) you've already got. You could then connect the dvd, video and tv to the amp.

    what do you consider cheap??

    under £100
    under £300
    under £500

up me, for an amp anything under £600 is cheap, but thats maybe not the case for you!!

why not draw up a shortlist of 4 or 5 amps, and then ask us for our opinions??
