what can i do to speed this one up

This is my first post on this forum and it looks like it could help me with afew questions.what can i do to improve game performance from my pc.
My idea would be processor for a quick fix is this right here are my specs:
amd 4000 939
2gb of kingston value ram
250 hard drive
nforce4
7900gtx duo(7950) graphics 1g
monitor lg325000

my board is a msi platinum k8n

what do ya reckon there must be loads of ideas out there but one thing I would say is my budget is around £50

I can run cod2 on full res but can not on cod4 and also doom 3 runs great on ultra ok is this just a new graphic engine thing that i will have a problem with my currant setup?

not much with £50, you could try ebay for a 939 cpu thats about it.

your best bet would be to save some more money and or / sell it to by a new one or upgrades.

I was thinking of a 4200x2 processor!!!! I am not willing or able to spend any more but I understand your advice thanks

if you can find one then it should do
