    Hi all

I wonder if anyone can clarify how I should wire all this stuff up. I am new to all this so apologise in advance. I was initially going to buy an all in one system but decided to go for separates but now am a bit lost on how I should connect everything.

I have a Pana Viera, Pioneer DV575 DVD, Pioneer VSXC502 Receiver, Sky+ and MS Genie speakers. Connecting speaker cables I am ok with :) but do I need to connect anything for the 5.1 surround sound?

What I am not sure about is what connects to what and what cables/methods should I use. I am assuming that scart is the right route??? I have also read about Optical, is this better than scart?

    My plan is:

Viera via scart to AV Receiver
DVD via scart to AV Receiver
Sky+ via scart to AV receiver
Do i need to do anything for the 5.1 surround sound other than connect the speaker cables?

    Any advice is much appreciated.

    Thanks, Kris

Many possible combinations of course, but I suggest:
    Video
    Component from DVD to TV
Scart from Sky+ to RGB Scart on TV
    Audio
Optical lead from Sky + to AV receiver
Coax digital from DVD to AV receiver

So that's 4 sets of leads you'll need. Check the cables section for advice on which ones :)

Sorry but one more question, to connect up my MS Genie surround sound system, do i need to do anything more then just wire in the sub woofer via a sub cable to the AV receiver and obviously connect the satellite speaker cables up?

    Thanks
