    Hi all.

Have just received my Toshiba 32WL56 and want to enjoy web browsing etc on it from my PC. What cable is it I need to plug my PC into it and get HD.

Sorry, new to all this HD stuff, I am used to low res composite.

    Thanks

I don't have a 32WL56 (though I'd like one), but you should beable to use an analogue VGA (D-Sub) cable. The same D-Sub cable you would use on a basic VGA Monitor.

The marketed native resolution of the monitor is 1366x768, though the nearest you'll find under your monitor settings is 1360x768; so use that.

Thank you. I presume it is male to male that I require?

I have a 32WL56, and have it connected to my PC using a DVI to HDMI cable.
This will give you a much much better picture.
You should be able to get a proper widescreen image rather than a stretched sqaure one.
Do you have a ATI graohics card?
    - get the latest ATI catalyst control panel and it will let you create a custom resolution to fit your LCD screen exactly.

    Hi Donny

I have a Sony Vaio with ATi graphics card. I would rather use the PC input to leave the HDMI free for thr Xbox 360 when it comes.

    Thank you for the advice.

Yep, you need a male to male D-Sub cable to fit the female connectors on your PC and 32WL56.

The other guy talking about DVI/HDMI being higher quality is quite correct, but I too would rather leave the HDMI port for some other less flexible device like a DVD player or PS3.

Thank you both. My friend has a male to male VGA cable I can try later. If it works I can buy one.
