Mad smilies won't make anyone want to reply but I'm in a good mood so you're lucky.

There's very little between cable brands once you're spending more than 50p/metre. The differences are in the geometry and having sufficient cross-sectional area - 2.5mm^2 is more than enough for hifi purposes. Jumpers are the same as biwiring so save the cash if you want.

It's all very subjective and each make of cable seems to have as many devotees as detractors. SA is very popular and there are a number of recent threads here about Van Damme cable so a search should yield plenty of reading material for you.

thanks for the advice I have read about the different cables and i am more confused than when I started!!!! but it seems clear now that bi wiring is a waste of my hard earned cash!

The one thing that does tally up from all the "discussions" about speaker cable that happen on here is that Silver anniversary is a damn good cable. To stop ANOTHER "discussion" starting I will presume that you can afford to buy it, and you want to buy a branded cable!
I suggest getting a demo on it cause I personally feel it's all subjective, personally Van Den Hul cables suit my personal taste but SA is a good cable!

QED SA for me is too expensive when Van Damme is equal if not better at around £3 per metre cheaper. Buy the Van Damme it is dirt cheap and test it and see what you think.

Nobody seems to have mentioned the excellent Supra range, can't be beaten in my opinion, but I guess I would say that :D

You don't mention what loudspeaker or loudspeaker system you have, what size/type of binding posts are on the Stereo or AV Amp and what length of cable runs you require.

    Best regards

    Joe
