I am just about to order a PH9 from AV Sales, but just can't seem to find out what extra boards to get.

All I need to connect to the panel are...
1.. My DVD player with HDMI output

2.. My Sky SD box with Scart output.

The panel now comes with the HDMI board installed, so that takes care of my DVD, but what is the best way to connect my Sky SD box? do I need to spend another £96 for a Scart board.
If I later get Sky HD then the Scart board would be useless.

Your help would be most appreciated.

There is another thread that deals with exactly your problem: http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=446942...basically you can connect your Sky to the VGA input via SCART-VGA adpater or JD Tech SCART-VGA box which is more expensive but is most likely a safer choice for quality...later on when you get the HD box that one will go to the VGA input via the component-VGA adapter cable...it's your best bet not to purchase any new boards and use the VGA option now, one day you may need another HDMI board (I don't see plasmas getting much better than this any time soon so this one is a keeper for future HD sources which may eventually dump component and use only HDMI)...

    Kalos Geros,

Thanks for your swift reply and suggestions.
I will try the Scart/VGA cable for the time being and think about another HDMI board later.
    Thanks again.

Just one point about connecting Sky via anything other than a scart is that you will lose all auto aspect ratio switching abilities.
