What Blu Ray to replace my Sony DVP-7700ES?

As above.

Looking for a player of similar build quality, audio performance and speed of use. I particularly like the latter :), a rapid layer change is also a nice to have on normal DVD's. I assume the Sony 5000 would be a direct replacement at a similar price point (to 8 years ago...)

Champagne and sliding front are not essential, but do look

I'm happy with the video quality of the Sony for DVD's via RGB and component. Audio is fed to my aging amp and HDMI is not an option - hence the mid-range Denon transport is not an option.

Video is provided by my new Pioneer 4280xd - would a Pioneer 71 be a better match than the Sony? If so is there any real advantage over the 51? (The 91 does not meet the fiscal controller's acceptability criteria)

Comments please?
