What are you still waiting for on Blu-ray Disc?

I've updated my 100 Favourite Films recently, where I keep a check on which ones are out on Blu-ray Disc.

I thought things had speeded up, but I'm not so sure. Given the age of Blu-ray Disc I think maybe more appeared in the early years. Still waiting for the following - I wonder if and when we'll see them in HD.

As Good as it Gets (I'd have thought this will pop up sooner or later)
Conspiracy (Hmmm. Made for TV - quite an outside bet, I think)
Crimes and Misdemeanours (will hopefully followe soon if Manhattan and Annie Hall sell well)
Cyrano de Bergerac (1990) (out in France, but no subtitles. I might have a long wait for this one)
Dead of Night (1945) (Could come soon from Ealing, if the ones out already have sold well)
Fail-Safe (It might take a few years, but it'll come)
Fury (1936) (not sure about this one - maybe a bit too old & obscure)
Gun Crazy (1950) (as part of a film noir boxed-set, maybe)
I Know Where I’m Going (Powell & Pressburger have been appearing at regular intervals)
Key Largo (within the next year or two, I hope)
A Matter of Life and Death (Powell & Pressburger have been appearing at regular intervals)
Melody (a.k.a. S.W.A.L.K.)
Rollerball (1975) (Well, maybe if MGM get their backsides in gear...)
Seven Days in May (Maybe. We've had The Machuruian Candidate)
The Seventh Victim (Long shot this one - best bet as part of a Val Lewton box)
Strangers on a Train (Surely soon)
The Swimmer (I'm hoping, but I think I might have to patient for this one)
Swimming Pool (And this one)
Tales from the Crypt…
…Asylum…
…Vault of Horror (Obscure horror tends to be served well, so I'm hoping)
Vertigo (Come on, Universal!)
Wait Until Dark (Hmm. Might have to wait for this)
Witness (And this)
Z (Criterion created a new HD master a couple of years ago, but only put it out on SD DVD, so why knows)

Is that Swimming Pool (2003) or The Swimming Pool (La Piscine)? Presumably the former, but if it is La Piscine, I noticed that's out now.

I don't really have too many older or more obscure favourite films, so would be hard pressed to think of some I'd like on Blu-ray that aren't already. I'm sure there are some.

Nice list!

Bring me the Head of Alfredo Garcia and Sonatine are up there in my Top 10, along with Last Temptation of Christ, but Criterion's doing that baby next month

everything else has (eventually) come out, although there are plenty of other "Top 100" titles that I'd like to see... from Point Blank to Michael Mann's Ali, to the Director's Cuts of the Lethal Weapon films (all I can think about off the top of my head)

Tip of the iceberg:

Pandora's Box
Vertigo/Marnie/Rear Window (and loads more Hitchcock)
The Ghost and Mrs Muir
I Know Where I'm Going
Rosemary's Baby/The Tenant

Hammer House of Horror
Fright Night/Fright Night 2 (UK release please!)

Wow, loving this list,

Add Hired Hand, Long Goodbye, Marathon Man and Race with Devil to my list too!

Still haven't seen Southern Comfort, but it's on my to-watch list. Reminds me, although it's not a 'top' title, I'd love to see Hard Target on Blu-ray, perhaps with a copy of the original workprint as an extra. Yes, I know I'm dreaming, but it'd be great if it came true!

Todd, I seem to remember there being a few rumours about Criterion releasing Rosemary's Baby. Who knows.

Great lists everyone! Will add my choices when I think of them...

Tip of the iceberg:

...
The Big Heat
McCabe and Mrs Miller
The House of Mirth
I watched the Big Heat again when it was shown as part of the BBC's mini Fritz Lang season at Christmas, it seems a pretty lame "quickie" now and not a patch on Wilder or Preminger, to name two of his peers.

Good disc, then?

How did I miss that!

Steve W
Top disc Steve, Transfer looks splendid, 1080p too unlike their release of The Vampire Lovers which was interlaced. Grabbed it off Ebay myself, Shame shipping from OZ is so expensive now as there has just been a wave of great titles released over there incl..

Hour Of The Gun
Hills Run Red
Barquero
Electra Glide In Blue
Man Of The East
Navajo Joe

Now available to buy on Blu-Ray from movietyme :)
Thanks for pointing that out. :smashin:Although I won't be ordering it from Movietyme as I think they charge too much. It's good to know it's getting a release so I'll pick it up from the likes of Amazon when it's around the $7.99 mark.

Will Hay would be very welcome, although I'm not keen on Old Bones of the River, that and Radio Parade of 1935, but all the rest would be great.
