    Hi,

just wondering what people are digging at the moment?

I cant get 'ZWAN - Mary Star of the Sea' away from my CD deck.

Its a fantastic record, but I always did love the Smashing Pumpkins.

    Let me know,

    Cap:smashin:

I was about to say Rancid too! Stunning albums, all of them. Saw them at Brixton last week and they were absolutely incredible - best gig I've been to (which is saying something).

I do think Indestructible's a bit patchier than most of their previous stuff.

I'm also listening to lots of The Clash at the moment (dirt cheap in HMV if you don't have London Calling or The Clash).

The Darkness - Permission To Land.
Surprisingly good, I thought it sounded much like early Queen.

Reel Big Fish - Cheer Up
    The Transplants

Transplants is OK as well (if you can get over the fact one of teh tunes is in a Fructis ad!!) but can be a bit 'shouty' thats East Coast* hard core for you though!

*have no idea if it is or not!

no, they have that bald dude in Transplants, in diamonds and guns he's the one who sings

'no one lives forever, in fact we all die'

he just seems to like shouting and sounding angry!

You mean Rob, a new york skinhead, yes he is very angry and quite scary. I think Mr Armstrong and Lars Fred shout a lot as well.

Mr.Armstrong does not shout that much!

I still like Rancids track 'sidekick' I think it was called (hardly ever remember track names) and 'she's automatic'

Going to go home now and have a rancid evening, that'll please the missus!

The Handsome Family - Odessa. :smashin:

Reminisent of REM in some parts but very individual and moody in others. Classic first album, though completely different to other later albums apart from the track 'Arlene' which is possibly a pointer to their later releases and change in style.

Lars doesn't have a mohawk at the moment, he's cropped it shorter so it's all spiked up (kinda like mine!)

Has to be Rancid's indestructable for me. Still makes me want to dig out some Clash, which can't be bad.

Just bought new Limp Bizkit album. Eat you alive is a great number but the album is taking a few listens. Seems to be more hip hop than rock. Maybe i'm expecting too much after chocolate starfish.

Not sure about that last comment

I've actually just listened to Carter's Love album. Lyrical genius

Was quite interested in the background music in the Emporio Armani advert for Night. Comes from the cd Black Cherry by Goldfrapp. Got the cd but looks like they used the best track for the advert. Albums a bit samey to be honest.
