Recently upgraded to Q1 L&R, Q9 Ctr and Q8s for surrround.

These are a vast improvemnet over my Monitor Ausio Babies.

When looking at Kef I also auditioned B&W, Mission, Wafedale and Moniot Audio Silver and for me the Kefs won hands down. I use mine for 95% HC and 5% Music.

When testing I also tried the q3 but actually prefered the Q1 as I felt they were more detailed. Never heard the q7 but in my opinion if the majority of your listening is HC then the Q1 should do as your sub will look after the low end.

Belaggio,

I was asked this question a while back, take a look here for a brief review.

I am using the Kef Q7s (front), Kef Q9c (centre), Kef Q2ds (sides) and Kef Q1s (rears). An overall outstanding speaker package.

Thanks guys,

I demo'd the Q7's today in Audio-T's demo room. I took Monsters Inc. down (the bit where Sully roars and Boo runs away) and even without a sub running the base was awesome. I'm sold.

The only thing is the Missus has put her foot down about the rears. She likes the look of the KEF eggs, and now they sell them in pairs.

Anyone got opinions on teh eggs as rears only?

Thanks guys.

The Q7's are £800, and the eggs are £200 for two (with free stands)
