Putting together a secondary Home Theatre set up in my new man cave.

This isn't the main one so I'm trying to limit my budget as there are other things to spend money on.

Not looking for huge power or quality. It will be for movies and gaming only - so it doesn't have to be great for music.

What is good these days. When I last looked, years ago, Kef Eggs were the recommendation and I suspect they are still good but they are beyond my budget unless I can pick up a cheap set second hand.

So up to £200 say. I have seen the Canton 90, Canton 70, Polk 1600 and Tannoy TFX 5.1.

    How do they rate?

Also what should I look out for 2nd hand - I already have an eye out for Kef Eggs but what else?

    Cheers,

    Nigel

Thanks will research these. My only initial comment is that I have a possibly underfounded view that the centre should be bigger than the satellites both for aesthetics and performance.

    Cheers,

Now that you mention that I have them XS speakers and always thought the centre speaker should be bigger, although never really bothered me when watching movies. They do a bigger centre speaker which is for outdoor use but I shouldn't think it would make that much of a difference. Still a great set though for price and performance as they won many awards. 199.99 bargain.

    Under 150 from hyperworld ebay

They did do a larger Soundware S 5.1 package but hard to find
