What are Forums for?

I told the forum members that I was selling a bulb. It was removed because it was posted on Ebay as well. The whole purpose was and is, at least that is how look upon them, is that Forums like these were created to inform those interested in a certain field about 'interesting' stuff. The bulb I was selling is such an item. If somebody sees a good deal you can inform the forum but beware, once that item is yours you can not. The members will look decide for themself whether they want to view it or not. You do not need a moderator for that.

There are rules on the forum that govern the selling of items. One of the rules is that if you are selling something ,it must not be advertised else where.

Sounds very much like spam to me.
Put something up on ebay then post on as many boards as possible advertising this fact = Spam!
