I want to use my amp as the main hub of my home cinema system and connect it to a Panasonic pw7 via either RGB Scart or Component.

The equipment I want to connect to my Amp are :
    1 x Sky+ box (RGB Scart output + optical)
1 x DVD player (RGB Scart output + Component output + optical)
1 x Other satellite (Composite scart output)
1 x Gaming console (Composite scart output)
1 x video (Composite scart output)

I could probably leave the video disconnected if I cant find an amp with the correct number of connections (its hardly ever used).

Could someone recommend me a set up that would do the job for me? I see a number of separates systems out their that do not have SCART inputs but have S-Video, Component and Composite.

What would I need to convert the above sources (I assume I would only need a JS RGB Scart to Component for the Sky+ box but the rest would be a straight forward scart 3 phono (video/Left/Right) converter). Also please recommend some speakers which may complement the system.

I was hoping to pay up to £700 including speakers, hopefully lower though.

The Yamaha 750 can be got for around £300 from Germany...this is now being replaced with the 757 so a bargain may be found. This has 7 composite inputs, 7 s-video inputs and 2 component inputs. All can be upconverted to component. I would advise

    DVD - component
Sky - JS RGB scart to component
All the rest composite......this may look pretty awful on the panel so if you have S-VID go for this instead

For speakers I would recomend taking a look at the Canton powerbuy in the speaker section. I am sure you can get a very nice set with the remaining £400.

It actually has 3 optical inputs and 2 digital coax inputs. It is well received on these forums and is a great performer on music and films for the price.
