Hi. I'm buying an all-in-one home theatre system.
I've managed to talk my wife into it (with compromises).

Price range: Under 800 euro(living in Ireland).
What I require... good quality picture & sound(DTS etc...) with SACD(and maybe DVD-Audio) playback, multi-region (either out of box or modded).
What she requires...That it looks half decent and preferably speaker stands for both front and back.

I was looking at the Pioneer NS-DV99 but its speakers have put me off. Both the fact there is no stand and the news that many of the speakers seem to be faulty.

Has anyone any other recommendations ?

    Your views/advise are much appreciated.

    Hi brian
One of the best looking systems and supposedly very good sounding is the marantz hollywood cinema in a box, empire direct are doing it for £694 it isnt multiregion but its probably hackable it is dvd audio but not sacd.
Check it out iam sure your misses will give it the thumbs up as it looks excellent.

Thanks but that is a bit over budget (694£ -> 1000+ Euro).
I really would prefer to have SACD playback also.

take the model number and find out wether it does or dosnt support RGB and find out about S-Video. IMO this may give you a much better market to aim at!
