what a hummer!

    I have a nad 370 hi-fi amp and a yamaha e800 processor. I currently use my pioneer 414 R1 dvd player for both dvd and cd. I have connected the co-ax to the yamaha, and 2 analogue phono cables from the 414 to the nad. When I switch on the processor I get a slight hum through the speakers{all of them}. The hum goes away if I disconnect the analogue cables. It also goes away if I disconnect the video cable which links the dvd to the processor. Any thoughts on what may be causing the hum? I've tried different cables etc.
    Any help would be appreciated.
