Looking at two Sony models KD32DX200 and the kv32fx68
any advise on these please
KV-32FX68 is a really good TV for the money
Best move I made
Can you give a few more details please especially
How does your set handle cable inputs? Telewest or failing that NTL or failing that Sky?
How is it with football and fast moving action re smearing and pixelation of backgrounds on panning shots?
Any other info gratefully recieved.
All very good with NTL digital and out off this world with DVD.
I have an FX68 and think it is fabulous for the money. Picture quality is awesome (probably because it doesn't use any digital image processing), connectivity is good (2xRGB and RCA Phono pre-outs) and it looks very smart.
Geometry is good - I have a *tiny* bit of curve at the margins of the screen (but you get that on £3000 B&O's too). But let's face it, if you want good 16:9 crt's aren't really the thing to buy
There is a little motion blur on fast-moving text, but this is mostly caused by slow video DACs in your receiver. Never had any problems with football.
The remote is a bit unwieldy, and the sound is OK, rather than great - a bit tinny for my liking!
You will not buy a better TV under £500. I bought my set from these guys and they were very helpful: http://www.totaldigital.biz/product_info.php/products_id/342?osCsid=4ec0c2228dab14857afb0bbd39892911
You won't be disappointed.
Sorry, probably me being a bit thick, but this TV is 100Hz, so how does it get away with using no processing.
Thanks for the useful info Tulloch and DT,
I am still verging towards the 32DX200 as I still don't believe any 32" 100Hz set can deal with fast lateral panning shots and on the DX200 you can switch the 100Hz off and go with 50Hz DRC.
What say you John374999 any nearer a decision yourself?
Hi the FX68 is the best 100hz TV out there for doing the job right
I would recommend that you consider the KV-32FQ86 it got a wonderful picture and it got 3 scarts 1 with S-video and 2 with RGB (It also has S-video input on the front). 2000 text pages memory. Great Sound and looks nice too! One little on the downside is it´s size and weight!
It got two digital processing modes, Digtial Plus and Advanced Digital Motion. Digital Plus is the mode to prefer in my opinion. Outstanding picture quality.
Well, apart from the 100hz scanning (which I do not classify as "fancy processing" like pixel plus etc)
