Not for PC viewing, just for watching TV. It has to be HD ready and as cheap as possible. I know Im asking alot but your input would be much appreciated

How cheap is cheap. Can you give us an upper limit?

I have the PHILIPS 26PF5520D, first LCD TV, I'm very impressed with it. have used LCD monitors before on my PC and been generally disappointed, but this TV has won me over completely.

    Hope this helps

    aj

I am thinking of buying the PHILIPS 26PF5520D, but there appears to be a lack of reviews or comment (on this site).

I have had a demo of it and was impressed. The PQ was not far off the Panasonic LXD500 and I prefered the 26PF5520D to the 26PF7520D in some instances as Pixel Plus was more jagged around the edges!

I was wondering if you have linked it up to a pc? I plan to use it for 50% of the time for Windows MCE viewing.

Also, the manual says 1024 * 768 @ 60Hz is the max resolution. How does this look and can you view it easily from a distance?
Are higher resolutions possible with Powerstrip or is this the limit of the screen with PC Input (DVI)?

Otherwise do you have any general observations on PQ, sound, menu navigation etc....

    Cheers :)

p.s. Can you recommend a wall bracket for this lcd?

Soon to be replaced by the GA7 - specifically for PAL (625 lines) SD (standard def) resolution.
Should be had for at least another £100 less online shortly, if not already.
My personal pref would be the JVC LT26C50 - £700 or thereabouts.
Check www.pricerunner.co.uk or www.dealtime.co.uk for the best price. I think it was the latter that I saw the JVC for just over £700 on.
